Dear "blue no matter who":
Do you want to write a check worth 25% of the value increase of your home? When you go to sell your home, do you want to pay 44.6% on top of that in Capital Gains taxes?
As for price controls, all those stores in low-resource communities that would then have price controls put on their products would end up shutting down, and only the affluent areas would have stores left, creating scarcity.
Student Loan forgiveness: People who either paid off their college or didn't go to college are subsidizing the loans that those people took out. They aren't going after the systemic issue of the predatory nature of academia on average people.
You don't even know the policies of your candidate (that you didn't even get to vote for, and who lied to you about the current President's cognitive ability). The news and the party, itself, said that "People don't vote on policies.. this is about vibes".
You say that orange man is going to take away social security. Here's the reality: People are flooding into this country illegally who are getting thousands and thousands of dollars worth of EBT cards, housing, and other resources while middle class people like myself are struggling not to have their electricity turned off and can not quality for help. We paid into the system. Those other people did not.
Your party wants to allow people who aren't even citizens of this country to vote. Why? Because you think it benefits your party. YOU are disenfranchising us, not vice-versa. You are not "protecting democracy." Your candidate didn't even get a single vote in the last presidential cycle. And ones who did have come out to support DJT.
Look around you. One party has had 12 of the last 16 years in office, and they still want to blame everything on one person (coincidentally, the one person who had the best economy during that entire time) and they want to blame it on C19, when the reason that C19 crushed the economy so badly is because you FORCED BUSINESSES TO CLOSE and destroyed the livelihoods of so many people out of fear. In the end, I don't think there is a single person who hasn't caught that virus. Not one. You literally helped nothing and caused psychological, financial, physical, and emotional damage to the entire country.
You kicked military members out for not complying with your mandates that only benefitted the richest pharma companies who had no liability whatsoever and did not do proper testing. And you ridiculed people who used other methods of treatment. You made it into a "us vs. them" mentality.
You harp about making corporations "pay their fair share". What's fair? To take someone's money that they earned and waste it, driving up inflation and devaluing the dollar?
You talk about "misinformation" and are fine with censoring peoples' speech and experiences, while you fall for blatantly provable lies every single day, because you think that the media machine is truthful. Zuckerberg just put out a statement yesterday that he was pressured by this administration to censor people. I've been telling you this for at least 6 years.
Your (installed) candidate now says they are going to stop taxing tips. That was DJT who said it first. She ACTUALLY cast the tie-breaking vote that sent 80 billion to the IRS to hire more workers to crack down on gig work and tips.
There were no new wars during DJT's administration. The Abraham Accords were signed. Your party left billions of dollars of equipment and left people to perish when they disastrously pulled out of Afghanistan, signaling to all the other world leaders that it was time to have some fun. Then they claimed that nobody died on their watch. Disgraceful.
You claim that DJT is going to take away women's rights. That was kicked back down to the states, because RvW was an unconstitutional case that was brought on false pretenses. But you don't know anything about that.
Your party UNDID the price-cap at $30 that DJT put on insulin, and then turned around and tried to take credit for putting a cap on insulin. Right to your face.
You talk about how DJT is racist, but I bet you didn't know that Planned Parenthood was founded by Margaret Sanger, a eugenicist who intentionally was destroying generations of black families by having those clinics put in their neighborhoods. They could have offered all kinds of services that didn't include dispatching babies. They ATTACK pregnancy support centers. Elizabeth Warren was suing to have pregnancy centers shut down in California. They don't care about babies.
Criminals who loot stores are given no consequences, but the business owners are attacked by their own government in California and places like that. They get fined for not fixing their busted storefronts. They aren’t allowed to stop shoplifting.
You want to limit the firearms that law-abiding citizens can have, completely ignoring that criminals don't care about laws. Murder is illegal, too, and so are drugs. That doesn't stop them. It just creates a black market.
Many of you are so psychologically damaged by being told that the race you were born into makes you an aggressive colonizer, and so you will capitulate to whatever it is that the media says you have to do to atone for that sin. And all of your little friends rally around each other thinking that you are enlightened, while the rest of us are just hateful bigots. The truth is that you are being manipulated emotionally.
You aren't prepared to have any of these conversations. All you know how to do is google an article and copy-paste. Shame on you. If you force us through another 4 years of this, we will all pay the price for your emotionally manipulated decisions that aren't rooted in reality.
